Dalea purpurea
Prairie clover is a staple of native landscapes due to its vibrant flowers, low stature, and well-behaved nature. It is at home in full sun to part shade settings and dry to moderate soils. Also known by its former botanical name, Petalostemum purpereum.
Small bright purple flowers in a thimble-shaped inflorescence, a butterfly favorite and a bird feeder. As a legume, it builds soil health.
