Phlox glaberrima
A showy sun-loving phlox that makes a fine fresh cut flower.
 
Supports various butterflies, skippers, and moths for nectar, Monarchs, Swallowtails, and Sulfurs. The larvae of a long-horned beetle, Oberea flavipes, bore through the stems. The caterpillars of the Spotted Straw, Olive Arches. Bugs - Phlox Scarlet Plant Bug and Four-Lined Plant Bug
